Portland, Oregon—KEEN, Inc. (KEEN), maker of original hybrid footwear, and Brooklyn’s
Pilgrim Surf + Supply teamed up to create a two-pair quiver of versatile, Consciously Created
shoes for everyday and every terrain. This limited-edition collection is a natural extension of
Pilgrim’s roots in surfing and music.
“Sound and ocean waves both carry energy from one spot to another as do our feet,” says
Chris Gentile, owner of Pilgrim Surf + Supply. “The Jasper Zionic and Yogeez styles in this
collaboration are a visual representation of this idea of energy and movement, celebrating our
love of music and the ocean.”
The color combination in the Jasper Zionic represents copper wiring used for transmitting
sound—before and after being exposed to water and oxidized. It’s also a nod to the Statue of
Liberty, which can be seen from the end of their street. Both styles are extremely versatile for
moving from the city to the ocean or mountain. Chris adds that having a dedicated light
trekking shoe and water shoe complements the lifestyle of the typical Pilgrim customer.

Like all KEEN shoes, the Jasper Zionic and Yogeez are Consciously Created without forever
chemicals. They’re PFAS-free and use pesticide-free Eco Anti-Odor. The suede leather in Jasper
Zionic is sourced from tanneries that are certified by the Leather Working Group for their
environmental and social practices.

Key features of the Jasper Zionic include:

• Technical tread: The higher-traction rubber outsole has an aggressive, studded lug
  pattern for better ground contact and fluid heel-to-toe movement.
• Premium suede craftsmanship: Soft, ethically sourced suede leather with detailed
  stitching. Climbing shoe DNA, all dressed up. KEEN only sources leather from tanneries
  certified by the Leather Working Group for their environmental and social practices.
•  Athletic fit: A contoured fit and tongue-to-toe lacing keep your foot comfortably snug for
  a more secure, performance fit.
• Heel crash pad: The outsole wraps around the heel to help absorb impact and keep you
  moving.
• Pesticide-free odor control: Eco Anti-Odor fights foot funk with natural probiotics that are
  safe for human health and the environment.
• Extra laces included: A second set of laces is included to switch up the look.

About Pilgrim Surf + Supply
Pilgrim Surf + Supply opened its doors in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in early 2012. Over the years, the shop grew into a
gathering space for surfers, friends and a community of artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers, and creatives. They
work with small factories and maintain relationships with manufacturers at each level of production, using recycled
and upcycled fabrics as much as is practical, keeping order volumes low to minimize waste. These relationships have
