These Gear Shorts are made of high-density shell material that has a soft texture and is water repellent. In addition to the usual side pockets, they feature a variety of gimmicks, including large pockets from front to back and D-rings for attaching carabiners and key chains. With their drainage pockets, these amphibious shorts are ideal for use in the mountains, at the beach, or in town. They are also chlorine resistant, so wearing them in the pool is no problem.

The Single Knee Short is made in a relaxed fit with a regular waist from 12 oz Dearborn Canvas, which is a hardwearing organic cotton fabric. While some iterations of this item have been rinsed – offering a softer feel without compromising on durability – others have been garment-dyed for a more complex color configuration. Inspired by the classic work pant silhouette, the short features utilitarian detailing, such as triple stitching, as well as tool pockets and a hammer loop. A woven Square Label on the rear pocket completes the design.
