Jacquard Blanket – Harding Navy
These Pendleton Harding blankets are robe size, which is the size preferred by Native Americans for ceremonial purposes and wrapping about oneself as a robe. These blankets fit perfectly over a double bed, can be used for wall hangings or just for cuddling up on the sofa.
Harding
In 1923, President Harding and his wife visited the West to dedicate a portion of the old Oregon Trail. At that ceremony, local Cayuse and Umatilla chiefs presented Mrs. Harding with a Pendleton shawl modelled after the famed Chief Joseph blanket.
